sometime ago I asked the same question and was told it was not posible and it seems to have a posible solution there. The reason is because i use public free sv_downloadurls and sometimes the one i use does not have the resource the player needs to download. So I want to bring new lights to the subject. What's needed to do it? Cos mod_rewrite seemed complicated to my brain peanut!

It seems there is scripts you have to put on your hosting to do it and an amxx plugin to redirect to that script first. Anyone with something useful for this matter?

Okay, for sv_downloadurl you do not need anything. You just have to basically upload a cstrike folder to your webhost, leaving all the maps and gfx (download files, except amxx) in the cstrike folder on the webhost. You then, put the url of the website, for example www.bgleague.com/cstrike/

Now, add the sv_downloadurl to your server.cfg file. Restart the server and it should work.

Be sure the sv_downloadurl is like this: sv_downloadurl "www.bgleague.com/cstrike"

I hope this answers your question and works for you, if not let me know and i can give it a try in setting it up. Now, for free webhosts, i know you may not be able to do this because it hogs bandwith.
