It's not the mod. It's the person using it.
We have the same issue, but it is because your spawning too many tanks, etc., causing the server to overload and crash. Too many of anything can also cause severe server lag which can only be fixed by a restart.

It happens even if I don't spawn anything.
(although spawning does speed it up. Eg, spawn 2 things, game crash. spawn 1 thing, game will crash after short period)
Do you think it could be conflicting with another plugin?

okay, this was a wonderfull plugin, except, in L4D2, most ways to change weapons crashed my server and all the connected players games, and nothing was recorded to the logs, so, i have currently removed this plugin untill this gets fixed, it was more trouble than it was worth

Would this work for doing the heartbeat by an admin? I seem to remember that is coded under the cheats in L4D2.

Wish this plugin would work with the L4D Item Buy System plugin. Conflicts with all those cheat commands.

It works fine with incapped meds munch and funcommandsx, but it conflicts with many other mods.
I believe the points/gift mod conflicts, and I know the tankbuster mod definitely conflicts.

It's completely impossible for me to fix conflicts. Due to how this plugin works, it's always going to cause issues with other plugins that try to execute cheat commands. There's no way around it.

Some commands do not work, even when this plugin is in use. Such as hidehud.
