zyrphon and aw3som3, both of those sound like outdated extension/gamedata issues. There's no reason a plugin would crash on player join unless it was doing something really really intensive on player join (not strictly true but eh). VSH simply clears the data saved for that client slot when a person joins, so they don't get the previous person's data.

Okay. I just tried the server vanilla, works fine. Then I installed all brand new fresh files of all required mods, only added admin files and changed reserved slots. Started it up, people joined, hale doesn't spawn. The issue is that as soon as it tries to spawn hale it crashes, at least that's what my admins believe, and I agree. I did not install any mods with this so it isnt amplifier or metal regen or anything like that. It is something on my end that is one way or another flipping me off when it should work. Are there any known instabilities with linux-based servers?

Okay now I think the problem is my autoupdater. It has never worked. Is there something I must do for it to work properly? TF2Items is most-likely out-of-date on my side. I dunno.

I just contacted them. I hope you are right, I have a lot of people waiting patiently for the return of my server. In pure honesty, the new TF2items SHOULD also be posted in its thread, and I'm sure one of you will point it out, lol. Thanks for the help so far!

"Please provide the IP, FQDN, and port used for the update. "

No idea where those are or if they exist. Damn my naive-ness.

If your host doesn't allow you to automatically download gamedata updates, you need to grab them by yourself. You should know how to do this. If not, you really need to seek out how. It's something every SM server operator should know how to do (update gamedata in case the autoupdater doesn't work).
