Any way to use the sm_hardzombies with Zombie Apocalypse?
It is listed as a cvar in Zombie Havoc, but get a unknown command with Apcalypse.
Is there another mod with wich this cvar can be called?

Is there a way to enable debugging or logging for Zombie Apocalypse on a L4D2 server?

I'm running two almost identical L4D2 servers [win32].
They both have the same set of plugins running on each except one is running Bebop plugin [for 8 player coop] and one is running your Zombie Apoc plugin.
The only different between the two is that the Zombie Apoc server is getting a lot of errors in SM logs where the bepop is not. It may be causing compatibility issues with other plugins.

Keep up the good work.

EDIT: Also, I was having a major server crash every time a 5th human joined the server. I found out this was caused by having survivor_limit cvar set in server.cfg. Once I removed it, no more crashes.

Now it seems to work, except if I join as the 5th human player, I get put into spectator mode and a bot isn't created for me to take over. This is good if you want to be the director - spectating a 4-player game and spawning stuff unbeknown to the players.
I will test this more today...

Those errors you posted are not created by my plugin. They are from l4d2_WeaponUnlock.smx.

Understood. But what I'm trying to say is l4d2_WeaponUnlock plugin works well with bebop [no errors], but is causing errors when used in conjunction with Zombie Apoc.
How can WeaponUnlock give errors with one "extra slots" plugin and not the other?

Whatever entity its looking for, I'm assuming it is a gun or some kind, doesn't exist which is why it creates the errors. Like I said, it has nothing to do with my plugin, sorry.

I've upgraded my current SM 1.30 and MM 1.80 to the latest snapshots [sourcemod-1.3.2-hg2920 and mmsource-1.8.1-hg695] and recompiled all plugins.
Seems to have fixed the errors.

Check my edit in the above post. There's an issue with ZA where bots aren't auto-spawning and therefore it leaves players in spectate mode.

Also I had my server running this all night and it crashed/restarted about a dozen times. I've had 4 people on the server this morning and when I went to join, it threw up a message about "connection retrying" and started the auto-disconnect countdown - basically crashing the server in the process.
And I have a dozen .mdmp files in my root for each crash.

There's no error log in SM folder, and nothing out of the ordinary in srcds logs... I switch back to bebop and crashes are gone...
Maybe you could check the bebop.sp to see how bot spawning/takeover is handled by that plugin [the only downside to bebop is that its COOP only]

I really like the whole idea about "Zombie Apocalypse" and having it work on ALL gamemodes. I would really like to see it improve through its development.

As I asked before, is there anyway you can include logging/debugging so we can figure out how to remedy this problem?

I will take a look at this in the next few days and see what I can find.

Update:
The reason why it was showing 0 for survivors_human is because I limited the spawning function so it can only run once at a time. This is because when a group joins, ie the 4 players, it would run the function four times which would cause problems. As Valve limited lobbies to 4 for Coop, 8 for Versus anyway, limiting the function shouldn't cause any problem. When the first player joins it detects that and runs the function, ignoring anyone else joining until the function is done running. As the first player who connected isn't in game when the function runs it shows as zero which is fixed now I hope.
The logging is done to the standard SM logs. It is best to delete all the logs before you upload a new version so we can get the correct logs. I've committed a new version if you want to test that out. You can just zip the contents of your sourcemod/logs and email them to me as that is easier for both of us.

I have had the same issues as well.
Sometimes players are stuck in spectate after map changes, and the survivor limit is capped out with 4 players.
It also seems there is no way to have more than 4 infected, and I dont see a cvar to increase infected spots.
I really like the concept that bots are added only when the player count requires it, as alot of players rage quit when the game starts with 8 survivors.

I think ZA should have its own thread, as it gets confusing between the 2. I have tried to submit a ticket at http://www.assembla.com/spaces/dashb...ur3OLDeJe5aVNr
but I do not see anything to actually create a ticket (a link or something?)

Sorry, I haven't had much time to test ZA out, from what I've seen today...
survivors_human count now shows correctly.
But with the default cfg settings, 4 human players join filling the 4 surivior slots, but with more than 4 humans joined - they are put into spectator team.

Perhaps its something to do with the OnCLientConnect_Control thing in your sp.
When the first 4 human survivor slots are full and a new 5th client connects it should add a bot -> then takeover bot -> then assign Player's bot to a team [seems as they are presently assigned to Spectator team upon joining] -> Then player should spawn. But doesn't since they are put onto spectator team.


Could you check into this...? I will test further within the next couple days and email you some logs.
