I don't really get how you retrieved the version number. Example, I want to retrieve text (steam:id in this case) that comes after <text> and before </text> in a xml files with API. I guess this isn't really about sockets but...

socket_change or socket_is_readable isn't changing. It means the socket is never readable. I have removed task_closeconnection and waited a few minutes. Still nothing. Logs are fine: Connection established and sending in progress. I was using the example code. Any idea?

Sorry. That's not the problem. It is the website or something.

Yes, you can not connect to https websites with sockets.
