Hi,

I followed a tutorial on how to create/install a dedicated CS:GO server, got everything working, and since the last update the server hasn't worked. The start.bat file opens, loads, and at the very end, crashes.

I've done the following

- Manually updated SourceMod/MetaMod to the latest stable versions

- Checked for expired Login Token, created a new one.

- Updated the server using

force_install_dir D:\cs_server

login anonymous

app_update 740 validate

- Made sure my Firewall isn't blocking anything

The only reason why I think this problem exists is because SourceMod/MetaMod haven't been properly updated, but I've manually updated both. I cannot see what version of SM I am using just to verify using the prompt because it crashes before I can type sm verision.

The tutorial showed me how to get the server up and running.

But it's irrelevant. My problem is that when I open up start.bat, srcds crashes after the server tries to start up.

I'm wondering if I might have improperly updated the server some how.

Not a clue as to how that's relevant but here it is.

There is no "one" tutorial what everyone follows, that is why I asked.

Anyway, to make sure, does problem lay in MM:S and SM addons.
- Simply, remove metamod.vdf file from addons folder and start your server.
Will your server launch up ? Your server would start without MM:S and SM.

*edit
Don't delete metamod.vdf file, just move file out from addons folder

*edit
Also, post what you have inside .bat file. Without token key

I haven't updated the server since the Dead Zone update, but I've done everything correctly to manually update SM and MM:S.

I tried moving the specified file, server still doesn't start up. The command prompts just close themselves.

I removed SM and MM:S both from my server's csgo folder and that did NOT fix the problem.
