I was playing on A(Nova's CSSDM server and one of the admins told me that they apparantly had a bug that caused the bodies to stay for quite a long while, several minutes in fact. I Thought i had a bug on my comp that made them disappear!
I didnt find any lag at ALL. It only lags if ur playing with bots cos they take up to much CPU.
i downloaded CSSdm and ran it on my comp and it seems really bland without the bodies. They dont even hit the floor when theyre dead.
Would be ok performance wise if the bodies were removed once the player left that portal or whatever in the map where the engine wouldnt be rendering them anymore.
And with the new bodies on the floor no one would notice. Although this might be a problem when playing online cos there is always going to be someone there.
But it should work out fine if ur playing single player against bots.
As for online a simple max body count cvar should be fine, deleting the old ones as new ones come. And it should be a client side cvar cos ppl might want to reduce it for slower comps.
BUT U REALLY MUST IMPLEMENT THIS!!!!
