Are u sure you're using the correct gamedata file l4dtoolz.txt? Mine is 7.828 bytes. Btw I use linux, don't know if u use linux or windows.

Looks like the file is missing? Make sure the file exists in that path.
The attached gamedata file is what I use on linux and it works.

Put it in left4dead2/addons/l4dtoolz/gamedata/ and not in addons/sourcemod/gamedata!

Correction ----> L4D1 linux dosn't use any gamedata file.

Also, make sure you got a l4dtoolz.vdf in your metamod folder or else it won't run.

I was wondering if anyone has l4dtoolz 1.0.0.1 rc2b for linux. I ask this because friends had mentioned that their friends has it and I don't see it anywhere on alliedmod. I want to try it out since my server crash a lot and I doubtly think it is l4dtoolz related. If I remove l4dtoolz, servers will run for days without crash but this is only good for 4vs4 versus server. So if anyone who has rc2b, please share it with us.

The rc2b version is actually the rc3 version. Ivalio just forgot to change the version number in the linux binary.

Get that linux version and type meta list. It will say rc2b, and not rc3.
I'm 100 % sure.

I have that version installed on my servers, with the lastest game data from the first page. When I do meta list in console. It says rc2 not rc2b.

I don't think a "RC2b" was ever released officaly by Ivalio.
Did you try "meta list" on your friend's server or did you just "hear" it from him?
If that's the case, you shouldn't believe everything your friends tell you

I'm getting very tired of mods not being written with proper installation instructions. If you build a mod, you are responsible to provide clear installation instructions so as to avoid any issues with people using your mod.

I am a server admin, and my server hosts quite a few mods. I have enabled the #9 and #10 slots on my l4d1 server, and have been trying to get this plugin to work so i can utilize those extra slots. I download the zip file, and put the metamod and l4dtoolz folders in my addons folder as the instructions hint i am supposed to do, and then i entered:

sv_maxplayers 10
sv_removehumanlimit 1
sv_force_unreserved 1

:into my server.cfg file and rebooted my server.

the result was a console log that showed:

Unknown command "sv_maxplayers"
Unknown command "sv_removehumanlimit"
Unknown command "sv_force_unreserved"
:so please tell me what hell it is i am doing wrong. The fact that threads like this one get to be so many damn pages that i have to spend 2 hours reviewing every post and i still can't find this information is freaking ridiculous. If the mod creator has clear instructions, please provide them, if anybody has a working version, please provide clear instructions as to what you did.
