Cant seem to get the steam cmd to run;ie cant login annoymously,incorrect p/w cant perform app_update.any help would greatly be appreciated

If you login anonymous you do not need a password.

I would delete all the game files and start again, watch a video tutorial so you can follow step by step.

And a simple reboot of the system often helps me, preferably 2-3 times!
