there is a new rcon hack that someone is testing on my server all the time,
i cant say name of this application cuz everyone is goin to start search for it,
my rcon its pretty long and hard to crack, well this program has no problem with it cuz so far he changed lots of stuff, is there any way i can block it?

If you can get the IP of the person that's doing, you could possibly prevent this if this person is unexperienced and won't use proxies/VPNs.

i got his ip but how do i make sure hes goin to be blocked, so far i try firewall but i see it doesnt help i still see it in console

I forgot how the original "banip" works, but you might as well as try it. I believe it blocks any packets sent to the port HLDS is running on but could be wrong.

You have language disabilities, and you're probably around 13 years old.
And related to your problem Duffnexter,dDo you really require using rcon? If not, just delete it out of the server.cfg

If you remove the rcon pass everything will still be accessable, except that rcon will not be available for use.

This is acessible via webmod exploit...


Add in server.cfg a cvar:

PHP Code:

port 27xxx

For Example: port 2715 


and in shortcut of hlds add the paramter:

PHP Code:

+port 27015 


And, Players will be connect by port 27015 (For example)

And your acess your webpage via xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:27xxx (<< Its same port of server.cfg)

NOTE: DO NOT TELL THE DOOR OF A NOBODY HLDS (Sorry, its serious)
