Hello.

I’m not using csx module (have my own statistics written). Is there any way I can hook grenade throw without csx forward grenade_throw()? Maybe ham_itemdeploy weapon_hegrenade. Could you please show an example of getting the owner of the grenade via the method as well?

Perhaps I could also use ham_sendanim..

Why you don't want to use the CSX module?

Item_Deploy has nothing to do with grenade throw. Use the forward from csx, or use orpheu, but I'm sure you won't.

Or reinvent the wheel and use FM_SetModel.

There is also the "fire in the hole" message that you can hook.

If grenades are not handled client side(same as knife) then you can, but it's a poor solution.

Include csx and use the forward, it's the best solution. I thought all this "I do not want to include a module for a native/forward" nonsense died years ago.

If you don't need grenade entity ID then use fire in the hole message as oxicrom said. You can also get sender ID (player) and also grenade type.

For more info search for the plugin "descriptive fire in the hole".

Damn, I need the grenade's ID too in order to set trail for it.. I will not use CSX for various reasons by the way.
