I made sure to update the translation file in 3.0.8b, which went up not even a half hour ago, so it should equal the same one that's attached. Prior to that, who knows, mah brain no workie.

Hello,

I'm using this on a server, but every time I try to load the plugin (latest version of the plugin) through RCON I get this message.
Quote:
141:14 L 04/21/2012 - 130:49: [SM] Unable to load plugin "extendedcomm.smx": Could not find required plugin "basecomm"
I checked it if the file basecomm.smx is in the plugins folder and it is there.

SourceMod Version Information (using the sm version command):
SourceMod Version: 1.5.0-dev
SourcePawn Engine: SourcePawn 1.1, jit-x86 (build 1.5.0-dev)
SourcePawn API: v1 = 4, v2 = 3
Compiled on: Nov 5 2011 09:41:47
Build ID: 3440:0d9a99f41a67-dev
http://www.sourcemod.net/

How can I fix that error? Since we don't get any options in the admin menu to set the punishment time? We have been using an older version before and that was working (no errors, punishment time in the admin menu, etc.).

Try using 1.4.2 and see if the error persists.

Make sure you're using the basecomm from a 1.4.1 or 1.4.2 release, any older version lacks the "basecomm" library register.

using the basecomm from the 1.4.2 release on one of our servers, and the error is gone now. Thanks for your help panda ;).

However, I'm still missing the mute/gag/silence duration menu. Since the database connection was working in earlier version (and no details have been changed), I'm guessing it's using the basecomm menu. Seen a post about removing that menu, so I'll try that ;).

ExtendedComm creates its own menu in sm_admin, called Comm Commands or something like that. As I'm not able to remove the basecomm entry, you have to edit the source of basecomm if you wish to remove it. However, the duration/reason menu will not appear if you do not have those configuration files properly installed.

Intallation instructions on first post:
Code:
- extendedcomm_times.ini into /sourcemod/configs/
- extendedcomm_reasons.ini into /sourcemod/configs/
Actual code:
Code:
BuildPath(Path_SM, _sPath, PLATFORM_MAX_PATH, "configs/extendedcomm/extendedcomm_reasons.ini"); BuildPath(Path_SM, _sPath, PLATFORM_MAX_PATH, "configs/extendedcomm/extendedcomm_times.ini");
