Yeah that lack of an m_iActiveFlames is caused by the somewhat-recent changes Valve made to the flamethrower and how flamethrower "flames" work. Not sure if it's even fixable anymore but I'm looking into it.

now it works again!

the brightness cvar wasn't taken into account so it is left unused in the code
in case you wanna help out in anyways, have this

That sounds almost close to what I want.

I would love a plugin that just slapped a light ent to you like a lantern or flashlight, by typing /light R G B in chat. Would be perfect for night maps. Would also be cool if it could stay on you after dying.

I'm surprised this got fixed given how different the new flamethrower particle system is to the old one this plugin was written for.

it's because i didn't attach the light to the particles, but to somewhere near the place the player is looking at, it's not how it's supposed to be but it works now atleast
