How to post Heroes and get them Approved

SuperHero Posting Rules and Guidelines
Thanks to vittu for writing most of this

Here are basic Rules and Guidelines to follow when posting heroes.

Rules
  • If you port or post another persons hero please add the original authors name to the subject of the post in parentheses ( ). If more then one author separate the names with a space backslash space " / ". Subject would look like this for example - "Hero: Scorpion (ReVeNgIsT)". Revengist being the original author. Only use this format if you are not the author or there are more then one authors. If the original author requests that it be put under their control or removed, their request will be honored.
  • If your hero does not work do not post it in this section until it is done. Post it in the Scripting Help section if you need help to finish it or ask questions there.
  • You must include all files required by the hero. This means all non-default models or sounds.
  • Use the forums Attachment Mod to post your hero. Do not post a url link to the hero as the url may go down.
  • All heroes must be posted as the sma file, and online compiler will provide a link to the compiled amxx file. All hero extras (models/sounds) must be posted as ZIP files, or it will be moved to the trash (no RARs). Please name the zip the same name as the sma + _required_files, ex. sh_blink_required_files.zip . If your zip is too large because of models or sounds, either separate the extra files and make more then one attachment (make sure you explain what they are), or contact one of us to possibly either compact it smaller or host it for you, send a Private Message (PM).
  • You must include the sma file for the hero. This is an open source community after all.
  • Please include the hero cvars in your post.
  • If you want to post a hero in the SuperHeroes section of the forums, the post Subject must start with "Hero: " or it will be moved to the trash automatically by the forum. This is to prevent people from posting help questions in this forum section.
  • Also take this into account, especially reason #2 as your plugin can be trashed because of it - http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthr...6070#post96070
  • Absolutely no heroes made with Fuzed Superhero Maker can be posted, these will be move to trash automatically. We already have too many heroes that are basically the same as what it could make.

    * If you do not post it correctly do not worry, you will most likely be warned of your error and given a chance to correct it before it is moved to the trash.
Guidelines
  • Please do not post a hero in this section if there are no significant changes compared to other heroes that have already been posted, example: adding a model is not significant. Be aware your hero might be trashed for this or in the very least you will be flamed for ripping code. This is on the boarder of a rule or a guideline, and maybe edited with a better explanation in the future. If someone has requested this hero post it in their request, it does not belong in this section.
  • Here is a good format to follow when posting a hero. Read between the * symbol to see what to put in that area.
You can copy and paste this code to your post and edit all areas marked between and including the * symbol, and areas marked with ** are optional.
    HTML Code:
    [B][SIZE=5]*Name of Hero*[/SIZE][/B]

    [B]Description[/B]
*Heroes Description taken from the shCreateHero() line*

**[IMG]place image url of the hero here (please keep the size reasonable)[/IMG]**
**url to a Bio of the hero**

    [B]shconfig.cfg CVARS[/B]
[CODE]*place all Hero cvars with their default values here, if you want add a description commented out after each cvar*[/CODE]
**Add any other extra comments here**
For an example of what using this format would look like Click Here
  • When attaching a hero please add a comment to the attachment, if the hero works on all versions of amx/x or not.
  • Adding an in-game image is always useful, so people can see what the heroes' powers look like, especially if it has models. Just attach a second attachment that is a jpg using the attachment mod.
Best way to get your Heroes Approved
  • Follow ALL the guidelines and rules mentioned above
  • Format your post correctly
  • Compress your attachment correctly
  • Fully support AMXX, no amx coding
  • Give credit for "borrowed" code
  • Most Important - Be original!
