Hi, I'm trying to host a server for TF2 and CS:GO but my isp can't portforward me so I'm resorting to using RadminVPN to connect to the server.

This works fine with TF2 (setting the server in online mode but connecting to it using the VPN) but if I try to use the same method for CSGO I while i try to connect to it, it always returns me to the mainmenu without any message (be it error or not) and if i try to disable online mode (using LAN mode), it always gives the error "LAN restricted to class C clients".

It seems that if I use online mode the server listens on a IP that is not mine (not from RadminVPN nor is my public IP). I tried using start commands like +ip, -ip, and every command that I could find.

Edit: I'm using GSLTs

I have been dealing with isp issues in the past. I couldn't always get it to work but if you tell me your ISP I will check (if you don't want to post it publicaly just tell me via PM).
The other option is to just rent a game server which are pretty cheap nowadays.
If you can't afford to (or don't want to) rent one I can provide you one, depending on the location, free of charge.

My ISP is: WindTre ITALIA, and I'm using a SIM card for the connection of my network.

Do you know if there is a way to do what i was trying to do? Because, as I said, with TF2 my method works.

No sorry I usually don't bother with mobile connections but I can provide you with a free game server located in germany if you want.

Nah, thanks anyways.

I still want to know why TF2 works and CS no. :/
Are there commands to listen on a particular IP or, idk, something?

Yes

-ip

Quote:
Specifies the address to use for the bind syscall, which controls on which IP addresses the program is reachable on. It must either be a local address (an addresses of the host it runs on) or 0.0.0.0 (the wildcard). This has nothing to do with externally-visible addresses in NAT setups.
and

-net_public_adr

Quote:
For servers behind NAT/DHCP meant to be exposed to the public internet.

I tried -ip and -net_public_adr and the results were the same: the server connects to steam master but listens for connection on an unknown ip (i think a master server) making it impossible to connect.
