I've had a hacker play lately, last time he played he was about to be votebanned and just before the last vote was applied the server crashed.

I checked all my logs and the only out of the ordinary thing this guy did before the server crashed was type in vmodenable 1

Can anyone confirm weather this enabled him to somehow crash my server because after a search the only reference to vmodenable 1 that I could find wasn't hack related.

I am fairly sure this is some hidden command. Every user executes it AFAIK, and it is nothing to be alarmed about.

So I am lost as to how he did it, Ill recheck my logs, it very well could be a coincidence but my game is quite stable so I doubt it. Maybe a disconnect exploit issue. Nothing un familiur that I can see in cstrike/logs or in addons/sourcemod/logs.

digging up an old thread because I noticed something in L4D L4D2

when a client has voice chat enabled it will send VMODENABLE 1 and if they have it disabled they will send VMODENABLE 0

following they will send VBAN 0 which I have not seen documented anywhere what VBAN is or does??
