I'm having the weirdest issue with my copy of L4D2.
About a year or two ago, I used to run SM while playing SplitScreen L4D2 with my buddy no problem. Had like 6 plugins. Anyway, I had to reformat my machine recently and for some reason, I absolutely cannot get the mods to work.
I copied all the folders the exact same way as listed in the wiki, I got the -insecure warning when launching the game, so I did that, yet when I try "meta list" or "sm version" commands, I get "unknown command" messages.
I'm completely lost on what to do. There's literally no files missing

install L4D2 srcds using SteamCMD.
Not srcds from Steam/tools/ section.
and install it own path, not to steam programs...

What's wrong with the one in Steam/tools?

it use same files as your game. and maybe outdated

I'm not trying to run a dedicated server though. I just want a splitscreen listen server like I used to do...

EDIT: Problem solved. I tried installing the latest snapshots of both Metamod and Sourcemod (1.11 and 1.6 respectively) and now everything works!
