sure client_cmd don't write something on the config.cfg client but. setinfo by the client way probably does. with set_user_info, the lang is set but when i leave the serv, nothing is saved. unlike with the original plugin.

Using setinfo doesn't save it to your config either. So really, nothing is broken since it never functioned as you thought anyway.
