Hey guys, I've been playing Starcraft lately and if anyone wants to play add me as a friend OneEyed in US East and West. I like to play 3v3 so it'd be awesome to get a game with some AMXX community peeps.

I'll try idling the AMXX channel in battle.net.

PS. I whooped GHWChronic in a 3 vs me.

I have an uncanny ability to die in Starcraft. No matter how many opponents I have, human or computer ... even if it's 7 humans against 1 computer ... I am invariably the first person to get rushed and annihilated.

The only exception was the one time I played on battle.net with an old friend. Then HE got destroyed first. (Naturally, I was the second person to go.)

It would probably help if I had any ability to micromanage whatsoever, or if I really understood how to start up a base. My usual order is 1) set up a good resource chain, 2) die.

I'm terrible at all RTS games, but I can't resist them anyway.

@Greentryst, its all about setting up a few sunkens/bunkers/photon cannons in the beginning to ward off that initial rush of low end units. ;)

@bmann, thats next year in october :'(

@OneEyed, I don't have starcraft as a CD anymore, but I usually play when I go to a gaming lan center (which I can play online at too, not just lan lol). I usually go to this lan center round 10pm-2am on some nights, and sometimes 1pm-4pm on tuesdays. (this is all PST btw)

Set up some dates that you want to play, and I'll see if I can come get my butt whooped a couple more times in starcraft.

So, working in Terran terms, it looks like the correct strategy would be:
  1. Barracks
  2. several Marines
  3. Bunker(s)
  4. worry about the rest later

Whereas, thinking back, I believe my old strategy was:
  1. a bunch of SCVs
  2. Vespene refineries
  3. Barracks
  4. 2 or fewer Marines before I got demolished

I haven't played in a while, and I'm horrible at it.

I'm waiting for Starcraft 2, and then I'll play a lot more

I used to play Starcraft a lot... unfortunately my skill level is comparable to what Greentryst described. Still very fun, but not something I'm skilled at. I lost my CDs over the last few months so I might go get new ones. If I do I'll be sure to pop on battle.net and say hi.
