Okay, I have a plugin that is using the event HLTV to detect round start. This works fine in CS and CZ, but errors on other games, such as DoD. Is there a generic event that is triggered that is detectable on all games?

Dont forge that some games do not have rounds, most likely you will need to do if() statements to register new round for each game, you just need to find the event names (wiki is CS specific..)

I suspected that and was afraid that was the only way. What is the easiest way for someone to get the event names without having the actual game?

Look plugins around, pretty sure some of them use round start for those games, lets wait for someone who plays those games

DOD:
register_event("RoundState", "round_start", "a", "1=1")
