Cheater not being ban when they join server, i only use some skin changer plugin and nothing else. Please help!

Hi,

Thanks for the great work! Have already banned 4-5 users with aimbots. I'm using BaseBans (sourcemod's own - default) banning mechanism.

I can't find the banned users' userids in banned_user.cfg file, should I be worried about them connecting back to the server? Or are they permanently banned?

Sadly, you need SourceBans or something like THIS in order to retain bans after a server restart in all Source engine games (afaik) ...or at the very least in CS:S/CS:GO.

if bans are already kept after a server restart, you shouldn't have any problem afaik

Apparently, this does the trick, but I never really understood how it works.
basebans is weird, and for some reason, SM devs never made a post about that (or I can't find it)

I am unsure if that happens because of lilac but I ran 1.7.0 first time today and thats the only thing I changed (I was running an earlier version without macro detection, dont nail me on the version).

So basically I turned on macro detection on the l4d1 versus server, and when the first one came with super fast pistols he got booted from the server - as expected.

He was playing as Zoey. So the bot Zoey took over. After the round ended, we got infected, and they had 2 zoeys. Two Zoey bot with the same name and model.

I am not running model changers or anything here, so that got me baffeled.

I looked through your code but didn't find anything obvious why this might happen. (if it is caused by licac at all)

It was just a timely coincidence.

What is the tickrate on your server?
Lilac will only enable macro detection if your server has a tickrate of 60 or more...
And L4D1 has a default tickrate of 30 ( https://developer.valvesoftware.com/...pport_Tickrate )
