Yeah, we should be able to use this for querying CS 1.6 servers, but it's not working for me either.

I used your view.php, i just replaced address, port and engine. Also tried with few random servers, none of them working.
Could it be blocked by my server hosting?

Most likely. fsockopen should allow UDP/TCP connections to remote host.

Looks like hosting blocked most of the ports for fsockopen() :/
Any alternative ways getting info from server?
