Dafuk; I thought it was a CSS server, not HL2DM. I never use the steam server thing (I only tried direct connection without adding to favorites), sorry :$.

I'm glad that the server is not the problem :)

I've chosen HL2DM because there I can use other bots (RCBot for example).
These bots are better / faster at aiming, also the movement is totally different from valve's bots.
This is necessary, because I need diversity in bot data for the artificial brain, so I also have to use more/different bots.

In fact the HL2DM server is more important for my research, because the bots are behaving more like cheaters, than the css bots.
The aiming of the css bots is always very "slow" (even on expert level), whereas the bots in HL2DM aim very fast (on expert level).

Again, thanks for testing.
Have a nice day :)

CSGO bots on expert have wall hacks (like literally aiming at you through a wall) however only shoot with the line of sight is cleared. Plus there are few commands to force them to rush a, mid, or B sight, stuff like that.

Thanks Mitchell for the hint. I really appreciate it.

If I've insufficient data, I will definitely use CS:GO for data recording as well.
It shouldn't be to hard to adapt my scripts for CS:GO, because of SourceMod
I really like SourceMod. I can cover very many games for my thesis, with almost no editing of my code

Have a nice day

There you go, 20 minutes worth of data of boring fights against easy CS:S bots :O
Please link your results here, when you're done.

Thanks for playing. I highly appreciate that.

I'm not quite sure, if I can link my results, because I do not have a homepage or website where I will publish my results.
I can attach my master thesis in this thread, but I will probably write my master thesis in german.
So it's probably not very helpful for most of the people around here.

Nevertheless, I can send you my master thesis if you are interested.
The main result of my master thesis will be, whether it's possible or not, to detect bots with neural networks.
If it's possible, I can upload the trained artificial brain

I've no idea if you'll be showing statistics in your thesis, but if so, even if it's in German, those can be, sometimes, and/or partially, understood. For instances graphs or tables; you just need to translate the header.

I would probably not read it (or well I'd try and get tired after one paragraph, as I don't really speak German), but I'd be interested in giving a look at it (skimming through), at least for those graph/tables; and possibly google translate if needs be.

Thanks for the hint.
I think the best solution would be then, to upload all my data, graphs and tables, as well as my thesis and the artificial neural network to a google drive folder or similar.
So everything is in one place and can be accessed by anybody

Dear participants,

Thank you very much for your contribution to my master thesis
I will shutdown the servers on Wednesday, 12th Aug.

I expect first results on 9th Sept.
If I've useful results, I will post a link to my google drive at the end of September, containing all results of my master thesis.

Thanks again. Best regards

Might want to post it to reddit, if you are lucky your servers will be filled and you will have data for the rest of your life :p
