The problem is not the program, lol. NPP is actually really good.
You can change how tabs work in NPP, and make them 4 spaces instead of a tab character.

Tab doesn't particularly mean the tab key.
NPP adds tabs to keep indents properly formatted for you.
Your configuration will tell it to either use tab characters or spaces.

Whatever you want. I use AMXX Studio. I like NPP for anything other than AMXX plugins.
