[TF2] No Flying Scouts
v. 18.0329.0

This plugin provided a simple band-aid for the exploit that emerged on 2018-03-28, in which Scouts who went into "Civilian Mode" could jump infinitely.

The exploit was patched the next day, making this plugin useless. The current version does nothing but uninstall itself. All other information is kept here for archival purposes.

This plugin was written in a hurry, and only prevents ONE particular method of going civilian with Scout. If anyone knows of another method of going civilian that this plugin does not block, AND Valve has not yet fixed the bug themselves, please message me.


CVARS, shown with default values:

• sm_NoFlyingScouts_update 2 - Controls Updater compatibility
  • 0 : Completely disables Updater integration
  • 1 : Updater will notify you in Updater.log if an update becomes available.
  • 2 : Updater will automatically download any updates. They will be installed on the next server start or map change.
  • 3 : Updater will automatically download and immediately install any updates.

Installation:

To install, simply ensure that your Sourcemod installation is up to date, and place the SMX in your plugins folder.

Please also consider installing Updater. This will let you automatically keep your plugins up-to-date. Updater is NOT required for this plugin to function.

Compiling:

The plugin requires custom includes. As such, it does not compile here on the forums. Includes required to compile the plugin are:

Plugin has been updated to version 18.0329.0. This version does nothing but uninstall and unload itself. Servers with Updater should see this happen automatically within the next 24 hours. All other servers must manually delete this plugin.
