Any plans to post it publicly anywhere? Would love to be able to play perks again with some friends. Currently there’s only one server, that I know of, still running zf perks but it’s dead and the server crashes any time the player count goes over 10.

Thank you Trundlefish, for your response. I apologize for taking long time to reply back, as I rarely visit this board.
Yes, I am working on Zombie Fortress and supporting it, yet I've come into an imbalance stalemate of the original and thus started a new ambitious branch of this wonderful mod, where all the issues are being addressed.
However, I have updated the original module quite much and even more since my last post, with hefty fixes and improvements like zombie skins included. Ok then, I will upload this somewhat enhanced original soon, and update it periodically along with issues resolved in the new branch.

So here it is, the enhanced classic ZF-Perks! I labeled it with version 4.3.0, so you could easily distinguish it from the deprecated ones.

IMPORTANT! Requires SM 1.10 and tf2items. I made sure of it to be worth your time

Some of the changelogs:
- Numerous bug fixes / polishes / quality of life improvements
- Refreshed code that works on the latest SM 1.10 framework
- All of the weaponry data updated
- Various important balance tweaks / solutions (yeah, including darn sentries)
+ Implemented stock zombie skins on zombies. No need to download custom models from now on!
+ Weapon lock and autoreplace system. If you choose a balance-breaking weapon, you automatically get the default one.
~ And all sorts of other gameplay improvements i lost track of.


Hope you enjoy it! I will also be happy to receive the feedback here or in PM that regards crashes, bugs or balance issues that you might discover

Is there a way to configure this so it works like most of those "medic vs engineer" servers?

Is it possible to remove the engineer's build level block?

because my server is mult mods .... and when it leaves the szf map .... the engineer's constructions are still blocked .... they are only lvl 1.... there is no way to raise their lvl

I played a bit with some friends on a lan server and the only complaint I saw was backstabs full stunning the victim. I didn’t see any commands to disable that, so maybe at least a way to disable the stun but keep the cripple? Other than that, this is awesome. It feels like a solid update to an old game mode.

Yes, no problem at all! "sm_zf_force_on 0" to have the plugin disabled on non-zf maps.

Can you fix Resourceful's fire rate penalty? It doesn't work. And can the health and ammo pick up bonus be toned down as well? Getting max health, ammo, and metal is way too strong, especially since kills also give some back.

And if possible, cap and tone down Vindictive's bonuses, I tested this with bots and with a few kills, the zombie is already an unstoppable target with 100 ATK and 96 Defense. I'd suggest the cap would be 90 ATK and 75 DEF just to balance it out.

A very good point, thank you! Will work on these two guys, it's easily solvable.

I am already working on several major bugs, so the update won't have to wait long. I'll release a new version ASAP.
