So this doesn't work anymore with new patch
Is there any way offline dota 2 server can be established to be played on LAN?

does it not launch the server or something if gc is not connected to or something. because you can run a local server and connect to it. i dont see why anyone else on a local network cant connect

27006 was still causing the issue for me, i had to use 27009. i could not connect or obs game while the server was running. i assume it was utilizing the port itself in some fashion which never occurred on earlier builds since the clientport was always matching the servers. but if you can still obs games from the same machine perfectly fine then your issue may be somewhat different.

Maybe, without all server plugins include metamod.

Ah! I set the clientport back to 27005 on the server, and set the clientport on my client to 27009 and everything works now. I don't know what provoked it, but I really appreciate your help.

i still can not connect to server

others can connect just fine and server works fine with d2fixup and metamod

but i myself can not connect to the server running on the same machine of client! and no obs when the server is running!
tried to change the port but no success!!

seems there is port using issue with the new update or sth :-??

any help?!

Did you launch dota with "+clientport 27009" in the launch options? If not, try that. That worked for me.

Can you make 1 post with step by step what did you did with what plugins etc to make this server work please. My server crashes on startup

Server will be work, if you disable or delete metamod. I got same problem.
If you don't need metamod, you can start server without him, just disable them or delete. If you need, i can't help you.
