How can we protect our server from DDOS attacks?

My clan has a dedicated server that we use for all of our game servers. Our CSGO servers are constantly getting DDOS attacked. Our hosting company provides up to 20GB of DDOS attack protection but that is nowhere near enough. Are there any scripts or software that we can put on our server for better protection? What game server hosting companies have you dealt with directly provide the best DDOS attack protection?

What location are looking to host in?
Places like SoYouStart, OVH, and AWS are your best bet in terms of DDoS protection.

You cannot do anything in order to protect from DDoS on your own.

It needs to be done on the network level, so if your provider cannot help you any further, and what they provide is not enough for you, the only option you have is to find another provider that can handle the additional load you want to put onto them.

Most of our players are from west of the mississippi river and down south. The only North America servers OVH has are in Canada which is a bit too far.
