Sorry I was wrong. There is no env_rain, env_fog or env_snow in TFC. You have to check other mods but I'm pretty sure this only works in CS.

Version 3.0 in the DOD fgd file has only env_rain and no env_snow or env_fog.
Im not sure if there is any later as I dont have DOD.

use GCFscape and check the fgd files for mods you do have and if they support these ents, which I doubt.

Edit: Ok, cant even trust the GCF files. The version in my CS gcf file is Version 0.6.6 (Beta 6.6) which has no env_rain, env_snow or env_fog. But version 0.8.0.0 which can be found here http://www.slackiller.com/tommy14/CSfgd.htm have it.

env_snow uses sprites/CS/EnvSpark.spr for example so I would say this is a CS only plugin.

okay i was very busy the last few days , but the fixed autoweather will be uploaded later today =)

the indexoutofbounds is normal for the first start of this plugin... because nothing is written into the vault at that time, not nice but it works =)(i'll try to fix it)

i thought env_rain/snow/fog are global halflife entities.

can anyone confirm Lt Llama's post?

if this is true i'll make the env_thing cs only but the rest should work for all mods

TFC update using weather.amx,

Sky not changing every time, map appears darker but sky staying bright as it is in the original map.
Change to same map earlier showed darker map and darker sky as it is reported by weather_region code.

say /weatherinfo, is reporting correctly as per region code.

debug gives this:-
L 11/16/2008 - 18:03:05: [FAKEMETA] Invalid entity
L 11/16/2008 - 18:03:05: [AMXX] Displaying debug trace (plugin "weather.amxx")
L 11/16/2008 - 18:03:05: [AMXX] Run time error 10: native error (native "pev")
L 11/16/2008 - 18:03:05: [AMXX] [0] textP3cN36.sma::fm_set_kvd (line 421)
L 11/16/2008 - 18:03:05: [AMXX] [1] textP3cN36.sma::daylight (line 402)

It's a real shame, but env_ is not working for tfc.

I will test some more with weathertest.amx.
Start of error session.
[AMXX] Invalid Plugin (plugin "weathertest.amxx")

The env_ ents I know exist in TFC are:
env_beam
env_beverage
env_blood
env_bubbles
env_explosion
env_global
env_glow
env_fade
env_funnel
env_laser
env_message
env_render
env_shake
env_shooter
env_sound
env_spark
env_sprite
env_laser

Without these weather creating ents its not as fun for old TFC .
You CS guys can be lucky.

I do not understand, why the sky does not vary???

Time 12 hours and 15 minutes of day, and for me costs on a server the night sky why so, has already downloaded and has installed new version 0.8

In console a server and in broad logs, now is written so:

L 11/17/2008 - 07:20:40: [weathertest.amxx] k k u
L 11/17/2008 - 07:20:50: [weathertest.amxx] k k u
L 11/17/2008 - 07:21:00: [weathertest.amxx] k k u

every 10 seconds...

Server cvar for this plugin:

weather_minlight 15
weather_maxlight 5
weather_currhour 23
weather_region 4560

Love the idea and like the way you think +1 Karma for you.
How do I set the time of day? I'm a little confused about that.
