I been doing test with the latest sm 1.6 dev and sourcemod wasnt starting. After several mins wasted, I rolled back to sm 1.5 3830 found out the metamod.vdf was looking like the windows .vdf with small difference.

The shipped VDF file works fine on both Windows and Linux for me - the only case it doesn't work is listen servers in non-english language games.
