Hi all,

is there any way to get the real ragdoll position from server side?

In CS:S the ragdolls have the classname "cs_ragdoll", but their "m_vecOrigin" is always that position where the player died.
When I shoot the ragdoll 20 meters away the m_vecOrigin is still there.

Are ragdolls really client-side only or is there any way to find out the position of that ragdoll model?

thanks
- Andreas

My experience with TF2 suggests that ragdolls in Source are indeed client-side.

Basically, TF2 ragdolls have a bunch of properties that can be used to make ragdolls appear as gold statues, ice statues, on fire, gibbed, etc... but setting this data in an SDKHooks Spawn hook only works sometimes depending on if you managed to set the properties before the ragdoll info is sent to the clients.
