Thanks lamdacore. The timer thing is just me not having good error handling but the other thing looks like a case that is DOD specific.

I will do another full release tonight with this and other functionality. But for now here is a quick update that will fix those problems.

Edit: just mentioned the cvar typo is still there "sm_quakesounds_announce"

can you change the sound optionen.

for example
// Sets who hears quake sounds
1 = everyone(default), 2 = Involved only, 3 = Attacker Only, 4 = Victim Only 0 = Off

sm_quakesounds_knife 0|1|2|3|4
sm_quakesounds_headsot 0|1|2|3|4
sm_quakesounds_dominate 0|1|2|3|4
sm_quakesounds_rampage 0|1|2|3|4

and so on. for every sound :-)

I am proud to finally release version 1.0 of the SM Quake Sounds Plugin.

At this point, I have completed everything I had started out to do plus nearly all the features requested so far.

Changelog for this version:
Added text display of all events
Added support for translations
Added a cvar for default sound preference for new users
Added a cvar for default text display preference for new users
Added individual sound and text configuration per sound
Added time to the settings data to allow pruning at a later date

thanks for the quick update. thats better befor but an idea. can you add this option in the sm_quakesounds.cfg for sound and text. like "PLayer Rampage"

without the "" but the playername :-)
