djmd, there could be differences in Bus Speed on the motherboard, and also your CPU backs up your Graphics card GPU, so maybe his CPU isn't as powerful as yours.

Why are you going to enable developer if you're just going to set your max fps to 101? That makes no sense at all. You set developer to 1 to increase it above 100. Or do you mean that 1 from 101 makes a lot of difference?

That's more than enough to run Half Life 2 with medium to high settings. :\
