Ok, I absoloutley suck with sourcemod, I can't do the basics of it, however I am really interested in compiling this plugin for l4d2: http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=151516

(dont ask me why)

However, the plugin is to large to compile in the provided compiler on sourcemod.net and gives of one error. Which I fail at understanding.
I am aware that you can compile with other sutff (spcomp.exe) however I have no idea on how to find that program and neither on how to compile it that way. Could I have some help ?

spcomp.exe is found in the sourcemod folder. Download sourcemod and goto addons\sourcemod\scripting . Drop the source file into that folder and then use the compiler. If the mod you are trying to compile uses extentions like includes, you would drop those inc files in the includes folder located in the scripting folder.

This is how I do it. (right or wrong it works for me)
  1. Download sourcemod. Extract it to a folder on your hard drive
  2. Open: sourcemod/addons/sourcemod/scripting/
  3. Place your sp file in this folder
  4. Activate compile.exe
  5. Go to: sourcemod/addons/sourcemod/compiled/
  6. Grab your .smx file.

If your .sp is dependent on something like SDKHOOKS. Then you''' need to add SDKHOOKS to the sourcemod folder as you would on a game server structure. (As far as I know)

Don't you just need to compile it and then get the .smx file from your compiled folder? I may be mistaken... Just trying to help

Yep, thanks alot guys, it now works for l4d. . Now all the author has to do is fix it for l4d a bit more (thats if he wants to) because each time i fire a weapon outside it still says you cannot fire inside. Oh well. Hopefully he will fix it.
