Is there a way yet that we can ban everyone from a certain steam group.

Like THIS ONE: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/g0ts

You can do that with SourceBans.

I don't know how they did it though. (It involves a function on the web panel)

It's not enabled by default.

Go to the admins panel, Web Panel settings, features, and check the box next to Enable Group Banning

Ah. They added it in a trunk (SVN) release.

If you really want it, just update to the newest SVN version.

Where do I download it. All I can see is the tracker and I see what I need. Im guessing I just overwrite everything but the config file and no need for the install file? Or wait for 2.0 if its coming soon.

Get a SVN client like TortiseSVN and make a directory on your desktop or something. Right click on the dir and select SVN Checkout. Add the repository location: http://svn.interwavestudios.com/sourcebans/trunk

Then update the dir. It will download the latest version of Sourcebans for you. You then do a web upload and dont change the config file.

Then goto the web panel and enable the option to ban groups.

-------------------

The way they did this was very simple. They used the nice code to covert steam id's to friend id's. Once done, you can query the steam community page with the friend id and get a xml reponse. Part of the response will include all the groups that person is a member of. Therefore, if they have a groupid that is banned, they are also banned. Pretty simple.
