1. What game/mod is this for?
2. What are you actually trying to do, not just bits, but the whole thing?

While I know you may want to learn as you go, it's sometimes best to see examples of what you want to do... helps learn faster.

For example... you seem to want to hook the player_death event, but that could depend on game type. You also seem to want to know the weapon used, and that for sure depends on game type. I am sure you want to do something else other than print to that person a simple message, so telling us what game/mod it is for, and what you want to do will really help us help you.

I want to create a mod for Counter-Strike: Source.

I want to make so, when a player knifes another player(NOT FROM THE SAME TEAM), he will become a knifeking. And each round_start we will get a random reward. But as soon as another player knifes someone, he will become knifeking.

I read about the player_death on the wiki, yes.
