Hi i look here and latest version is 0.8.4.0 but I have been told there is a later version here https://bitbucket.org/psychonic/smac/overview
ok so what is the latest version ?
is there any important changes for l4d2 ?
and are you still keeping alliedmodders up to date ?

The official version is always found in the download page. What you linked to is the development source code page. It's generally unsupported unless we need something specific to be tested.
