dbi.mysql.ext.so error

Hi all,

I had error when connect to database, i got this error

Quote:

Unable to load extension "dbi.mysql.ext": libz.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

After took time to view, I found out reason is libz.so.1 could not be found.

But, the point is i used Gentoo for system, after mass update my zlib change to 1.2.7. I tried to ln -s /lib64/libz.so.1.2.7 /usr/lib/libz.so.1 but it did not work.

I need help from you all. Thanks.

Don't know about gentoo... but I think on debian we installed ia32-libs to fix this. Can you install the 32-bit version of libz?
