Though I still don't agree with Valve's new "no using official stuff" policy (especially considering that they are now asking modelers to submit custom stuff to them for their own use and insist on distributing said items randomly), I thank you for your hard work on this, voogru.

I'm considering whether or not I want to use the workaround right now. I used to use a lot of custom models on my server so I may use it.. but then again.. I dunno. I'm just disappointed in Valve TBH :/

I don't really fault them for protecting the integrity of their items. It's up to the modelers if they want to send the content into valve, and that's something that can be worked out in the future possibly, if we can get this policy releaxed.

Voogru, has it been suggested to ban the MD5 of certain attachments

I have a piggybacking plugin where I parent a player to another player entity
With Valve's policy, the player turns invisible.

Would this method be able to work as an alternative to setParent?

No, it won't work for that situation. What you could do instead though, but it might not look right, is to have a special piggy back model made and then apply that to the player carrying the other player.

I'll try to get it out once someone confirms they got it working how they expect it to work, for example the equipment manager needs to be updated for it.
