Looking for a plugin that teleports players to all gift locations when a gift spawns, it doesn't have to be all players it can just be one.

And Im afraid of valve handing out whips on christmas again. And not in a good way, you know.

Fairly certain this isn't possible, as Valve has gifts managed by their servers so that the locations can not be predicted. As well as, these variables never reach the server and are completely client sided.

There are still predefined locations at which the presents spawn. The server may not know WHICH location is being used, or which client currently has a gift to collect, but that wouldn't stop the server from teleporting all players repeatedly through all the locations in a rapid loop.

The gift does not register touch functions, it's client sided.
There is some kind of code in there where you have to like, walk a certain distance over it to,actually grab it. Simply teleporting to it's location or standing on the spawn won't do anything iirc.

Now if you were to say.. Teleport them near it and the give them velocity, perhaps they would pick it up... But if valve is smart, it won't do anything if the client isn't pushing buttons.

scrap.tf is running servers with a custom plugin like the OP is requesting. it drops players above the gifts, works just fine.

Yep. There are servers with teleport plugin for afk players to collect gifts and they WORK.

Interesting so apparently there is something that does this and works but Valve apparently doesn't care since they haven't done anything or will ever do anything. They are making money so doesn't matter to them as the more spells you find the more of them find their way to the market place and pad their pockets.

So yeah I'm very interested in something like this as well... and would even shell over some TF2 keys for it. Someone PM me if they have it and its working.

This is such a simple thing and here you have my version of it.

- Meant to farm koth_lakeside_event
- Automatically assigns spectators to a team
- Instant respawn without setting server tags [Im sorry]
- sm_autogift : toggle farming on : off
- sm_forcegift : ADMGLAG_ROOT, Admins can force people to farm gifts
- Farmers have godmode and sentry immunity (I tried to add nocollide too but i was getting some errors

You know that Valve can remove your server from the master server list for that, right?
