not insisting u but, i use tune up utlilites software. It has registry editor and there can lock any keyvalue from being edited. Give it a try .

You will get a program with that named "registry editor". Open that and browse the key u want . Then right click on that and security( or sumthing like lock).

With the default registry editor (regedit.exe) you can modify permissions. There's no need for additional tools.

Did you set the steam_appid .txt to 10? if no then do it if yes then i dunno what to do
