Did you get your Googles maps API key from http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html
And add that to your config.php?

You also have to enable both country flags and city locations from the same configurations. And on top of that, you will have to have a your DB installed as instructed by the configs and updatetable.php or createtable.php.

EDIT: Oh sorry... it seems there is a small bug in the index.php. Once you have players playing you should see the map as of now. I'll do a patch.

I changed the name field from varchar to tinyblob. For you it may be better, but it will still be problematic to some. I for example have trouble showing scandinavian characters. This is still better than the previous setting for me too, because the data should insert properly unlike it was doing the with the last setting.

The original setting could not insert a è character to a varchar field. This is a problem with MySQL. That is just one of the many characters that seems to be impossible to be inserted by a normal query to a varchar field.

I had noticed that on a few Russian user names.
And on a players city it had the ********* symbol.

But meh 1 odd character is still neater than the usual mess of 20 (or so) ones.
At least for me anyway.

I have completely install the files, done the edits, installed the database, and it's not showing anyone online or getting any stats.

I think it's the server.cfg edit.

Does the "host" remain at "localhost"?

Or am I doing this wrong.
