Well on the plus side I hexed up some models and edited the 8 survivors plugin a ton, I seem to have hit the limit because after this many survivors it starts glitching, gonna try and get a few more models working though once I figure out whats wrong.

And you thought 8 survivors was good enough.

Not yet, I keep getting flashing bots in the beginning, I think I hit the limit, Ill probably need to use an extension to bump up the max players to 24 if I want more models to load.

I have Wesker, non infected CEDA, and some killing floor models left but they wont load with the 18 survivor max.

I'll fix that though

From all the information I've gathered so far, VALVe made VPKs only work on coop in l4d2, except for sound replacements.

So, the only way you want the arms working on every single gamemode, it will at least take an hour of your time.

Step 1[file left4dead2]:
Drag your pak_01.dir into your vpk.exe and it should start extracting.
Take note that when extraction is done, you are free to mess around with the files(replacing models, editing the radial menu script).

Step 2:
Replace the scripts with the modified scripts I've included in my VPK, but keep weapon_rifle_m60.txt on your desktop first.

Step 3:
After you are done, drag your pak_01.dir[file format] into your vpk.exe and it should start compiling. When done, drag and replace your pak_01.dir and voila, you should have your skins, radial menu scripts, whatever you replaced working in ALL gamemodes.

Step 4[file left4dead2_dlc]:
Now for the m60 arms fix, go to your left 4 dead 2/left4dead2_dlc folder and do the same thing as step 1-3(extracting, replacing and compiling).

Hope that helped.

PS: I'm working on a .vpk that enables the scar to be automatic and the m16 to be burst fire. Sadly it only works on coop, and forcing the clients to download the pak_01.dir would be too long.

Edit:Apparently forcing clients to download files are really much of a stab in the face because people in l4d2 don't know that they are downloading something and tend to get impatient when they see a black screen and force their game to close, causing them to have corrupted images or the arms, like zoey's arm floating on the top of their screen.
Thats why you should use the first edition of the l4d1arms, its only 112kb.
The second edition is the exact same thing with the arms included...But theres no need to include em when they are already in l4d.

I can see how the files need some revision. Mine's got stuff around 30 entries for just Bill's death alone

Yes... but you have to include the arms in the vpk to enable it in multiplayer... editing the scripts only enables it on single player.

Can someone post variables for the HUD? I'd love to continue the work on the icons...

I broke the engine I think, I got this to run with 23 different models on screen at once but then at a level change the game crashed with a runtime error.

Rather than embed the images Ill just post some links.

Including them wont make a difference. What makes the arms work are the scripts.

The scripts adds variables for the l4d1 survivor's arms.
The same arms are in the pak_01 vpk, so there is no need to include them again.
