Managed to replicate the error you have in my installation.

Code:

L 08/18/2020 - 00:53:31: [gRIP] Error: FFI Error: URI parsing error: http/api/messages
Caused by: relative URL without a base

This is caused if the cvar value is not in quotes.

Code:

amx_matter_bridge_url http://[your matterbridge ip]:[port]

Change it to

Code:

amx_matter_bridge_url "http://[your matterbridge ip]:[port]"

Apache is not required.
