when i try to run amxmodx 1.01 with the mysql module for 4.1.9 from the sqlmodules package at my debian sarge box, running mysql 4.1.10a. When i use the module for 4.0 from the amxmodx1.01 package the server starts fine...

This was already discussed, do this to make the regular Mysql module that comes with AMXX work:

Set "old-password" in my.cnf.

I currently have Mysql 4.1 working like a dream on mine but you have to disable the new password feature then recreate your databases like the ones with your username and password even.

The strange thing is, the regular mysql module in the amxx package are working at my server. Only with the new module for 4.1 from the extra package my server crash with the error above...

So i don't think this is working for me.

The new module for 4.1 would only be needed if the Regular Mysql version doesn't work, otherwise don't worry about it.
