I am installing on Linux platform (Ubuntu Server) a Counter-Strike Global Offensive Server.

Running the application steamcmd get the following error:

Please set the game install path to something other than the Steam install folder.

What am I doing wrong?

Set the install directory to a different folder

I just changed the installation folder but I can not do it.

The steps performed are:

Steam>login emaeltuti *****

Logging in user 'emaeltuti' to Steam Public...Success.

force_install_dir /home/ema/

Steam>
Steam>

The installation fails because steam returns to the prompt.

Okay, so once you force the install directory, install the server. What is the new error message?

Do not get errors when you run, every time I run the installation returns to prompt.

Running steamcmd file, I get this error:

[ 0%] Checking for available updates...
[ 0%] Download complete.
[----] Verifying installation...
[----] !!! Fatal Error: Failed to load libsteam.so

Can you guide me step by step to install the server please?
