i have installed and configured my first l4d dedicated server, works great with steam players
i want to make the server accept non steam users and let them join but cant find any tuto or any info about it
what i have tried so far :
- revemu : copied linux files to their respective directories and renamed the original steamclient.so to steamclient_valve.so, i got this error on console :

[S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; unable to locate a running instance of Steam, or a local steamclient.dll.

- i ve checked rev.ini to see the bin directory path

ClientDLL=./bin/steamclient_valve.so

and i cant connect to the server anymore :

RejectConnection: x.x.x.x:x - #Valve_Reject_LAN_Game

-tried to clean the server and redownload the server files with steamcmd and followed the same steps above (download revemu and extracted everything to their places). but still same error

i have already played on several l4d linux servers and i see that they works fine for non steam users
i would like to do the same for my server and i will be appreciated for any kind of help .

2 gb ram
