[CSX] Stats errors (INCLUDING, but not limited to knives)

I have just noticed this problem that every knife kill is registering as a headshot in the best score HUD message.

It does not show a HS in the kill, but it says something like:

Best score: ::AoA:: SweatyBanana
3 kills/3 HS's

And all 3 kills were knife kills with no headshots.

Bo0m! and I have done some extensive testing and it seems that the actuall death message is not registering as a headshot, but the stats plugin is.. We got ranges anywhere from hitting behind and getting the chest along with a headshot in the stats HUD message to getting 2 headshots, but not showing in the top-right death message.

We tested in CS 1.6 and CZ.

Note: This may in fact be a problem in the HL1 engine not registering the kill as a headshot.

AMXMODX is I think checking if the shot that killed the person was in the head.

Not all, but a lot of knife kills seem to be registering as headshots.

can you confirm that your not hitting the neck region? i think it registers the neck region as headshot also

Like I have said you can even hit the chest from behind and register it as a headshot.

Thank you for moving this to bug reports..It may even be a bug between different methods of detection in amxmodx and the HL1 engine.

Is this AMXX 1.76? If so, did you notice it happening at all before upgrading to 1.76? No, this isn't me knocking new versions like I usually do, I have a hunch this time, that would require it to report as HS's in both pre-1.76 and 1.76.

Yeah I've noticed it in previous versions. It's been like the for as long as I can remember. I've always figured it was an HL bug and nothing to do with AMXX

Using your knife, kill someone via the legs a couple times. Tell me if it ever reports as a headshot, or only if you are attacking the upper body.

It is mostly upper body..

Bo0m! and I have been testing this and we went as far back as 101 and it still had the bug, though harder to reproduce..

We are testing on amxmod now.
