Messages like "hey join my server 213.34.231.23" are automatically blocked... and another message is printed instead. :-P
Or, you can choose to just ban violators by setting cvar ip_banviolators to 1 and ip_banminutes to how many minutes the violator should be banned. 0 is permanent, 5 is default.

This won't remove the IPs that are web addresses, correct? Yuo can just say "come to my server: v3xtra.no-ip.com" and it would be fine, and I wouldn't get banned. Which is why I said in the port request it wouldn't help stop them in some sense. But very good plugin JGHG

Yes, true. It won't stop domain names, only IPs.
Should work if a port is specified though. Regex seems to find stuff wherever it is on a line.

Blocking domain names is probably.... very hard to do.

I'm just wondering if this is possible. If you remake this plugin alittle and the results will be. Like if some one says You noob the printed will be I'm the most noob in the server!

well back on amx there was a plugin made by sniperbeamer which was named advertising filter.

but they deleted it ...


it basically removed any advertising (ips, web adresses, irc etc) by reading a blacklist and a whitelist from two files. you could add any phrase to the blacklist which caused any message using these phrases would be removed and the guy trying to advertise his crap got a message not to do this. the whitelist was introduced to allow server admins to advertise their own clanpage etc.

i asked sniperbeamer some weeks after installing amxx (so some weeks after amxx appeared ;)) to rewrite it or port it to amxx but he never answered. i use my old amx plugin all the time but i really would love to have a new one since my old version is much too old with hardcoded phrases (without a blacklist file).

could you eventually think about adding this to your plugin?

Ehh maybe u didnt read my post..

PORT this plugin to work for amxban.. I have this working u know.. I just need the plugin to use amxban instead of banid.. since im not a scripter.. im asking for help!
