Hey i have bean away from doing csgo server for a while what its the rules with skins some ppl saying you cant use any skins and some says you can so anyone here know how its rly working bc for the homesite they says custom skins are okey but not the skins valvet are using

You may just not present "illegal pirate copies" of skins, e.g. put skins that can be obtained via the Steam Community Market on your players.

So if you're going to add a $1,000.00 knife or awp weapon skin to one of your players, your server's steam ID (GSLT) will be banned.

What you can buy via Steam, is what you are not allowed to present via server side plugins.

Correct, as long as you don't mess with the Market items, then you should be fine.

Player skins (models), e.g. from GameBanana are okay.

I think it is not allowed to provide skins for weapon standard models. Valve can't automatically decide what is a copyright abuse, can they?

While nicely paraphrased from me, I think your "Safe" is far too strong an indicator.

The guidelines on it are not clear, and if you trigger the automatic detection you're getting banned regardless of if you're following the rules (as one of the knife swap plugins did even after getting it fully cleared with Valve.)

As of now I didn't get token banned and I never heard without using risky property like m_iItemDefinitionIndex. Everyone can use custom skins for zombie hands, prisoner hands. But if someone will exploits this border it will collapse by enhanced detection.
